The battle to become the new Mayor of Sherwood came to an end as ballots were cast and counted for the March 13 special election. This key race centered on current Council President Sean Garland and former mayor Keith Mays to replace Krisanna Clark-Endicott who resigned last fall. Keith Mays won the race for City of Sherwood Mayor receiving 52.61% of the votes. The special election held extra significance for the housing industry as Sherwood is one of five candidates for possible UGB expansion this year.
