The Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD) is looking at adjusting their district’s SDC for changes in the cost of construction. For 2018, the increase in the SDC for a 5/8 x ¾ inch meter would be $527. This would increase the SDC from $6,831 to $7,358. A 7.72% increase. In 2014 the district experienced a similarly large increase in the construction cost index (CCI). For that year they increase the SDC in two separate steps; once in March and once in July. TVWD plans to hold their public hearing and adoption of the update on February 21. The HBA plans to submit testimony requesting a similarly phased in approach due to this year’s substantial increase in the CCI.
