As we transition between Directors of Policy and Government Affairs, HBA would like to make you aware of an opportunity to track and testify on proposed changes in water SDCs in Hillsboro. HBA’s new Director of Policy and Government Affairs, Preston Korst, will have already been with HBA a few weeks prior to the proposed update being released, but we feel it is imperative you know of the proposal release and hearing schedule. Hillsboro Water Department is proposing to update its Water SDC methodology and invites public feedback. Below are the key dates. • August 9, 2022: Proposed Water SDC methodology update published and reviewed at the Commission meeting. • August 9 to September 8, 2022: Public input period. • October 11, 2022: Public Hearing for proposed Water SDCs. Commission may consider action on proposed SDC Resolution. • January 1, 2023: Changes to Water SDC methodology takes effect (if approved).
