City of Tigard and HBA partnership formalized with Development Advisory Committee.

The City of Tigard is in the process of institutionalizing a development advisory committee to provide feedback and guidance to the Planning Commission, City Council and Building Department staff on issues related to residential development. The HBA has been working with the city to formalize this group for a year and we are very excited to see our efforts come to fruition.

The first task of the Development Advisory Committee (DAC) will be to review Phase 2 of the residential code update for the city of Tigard. This includes a follow up conversation on establishing lot width standards for residential development, a carryover from phase 1 of the residential code update which the HBA engaged the city on. A portion of their original proposal would have led to the loss of multiple lots for development on corners and roundabouts.

The Tigard DAC is tentatively scheduled to meet in the early fall. If you are interested in participating in the DAC activates please contact HBA staff at jamesa@hbapdx.org
