HBA Members Meet with Senior Portland Bureau of Transportation Staff


Last week, HBA members and City staff met to discuss transportation and public works requirements that arise during the land use and permit review processes. HBA encouraged the Bureau to fully analyze the intersection between state and local authority that governs the development of much needed housing.

The Bureau heard industry concerns and agreed to continue the discussion at a follow-up meeting anticipated for early March. HBA supports the Bureau’s endeavors to increase administrative transparency and advocates for greater alignment of city regulations with state statutes.
