Gorge Yourself: HBA Takes to Hood River for Housing Talks

Last week, HBA government affairs representatives met with a host of Hood River elected officials and staff followed by a 2019 legislative update and reception with area developers and builders. Thank you to builder captains Cameron and Emily Curtis of Curtis Homes LLC, along with Tum-A-Lum Lumber, for welcoming the group in their space along the historic Columbia River Highway. Housing affordability was a main topic of discussion with policy makers and staff throughout the day, while the group continued into the evening with discussions about 2019 business, land use and housing legislation, along with bills that are anticipated to move during the upcoming 2020 short session.
