Oregonians voted last week to advance two critical community-based funding measures. In King City, over 61% of voters approved a public safety local option levy that will ensure the city is able to maintain vital public safety staffing levels. The city is currently in the process of planning for recently approved urban growth boundary expansion area and has dedicated itself to a forward thinking vision of a community with ample housing for all residents. HBA was proud to work with the King City Community Foundation to help inform voters of the levy’s importance and looks forward to supporting the city as it plans for the future. Election night also brought success to the West Linn-Wilsonville School District, as voters approved both a local option levy (approved by 70%) and a bond (approved by 61%) to help modernize and secure school facilities. Importantly, the levy will also advance an expanded technical education curriculum in the district that will train students in vitally needed engineering and business management curriculum.
