Washington County Reviews Code Changes and other Support for Middle Housing

Washington County is launching two new initiatives to facilitate the construction of Missing Middle Housing and Accessory Dwelling Units. The first is an effort aiming to normalize and generate positive interest in Middle Housing and ADUs by creating simple, compelling materials for homeowners, HOAs, and industry professionals. The second is a project focused on increase housing production by making community code development amendments to facilitate missing middle housing, more flexibility in mixed use development for non-residential requirements, and incentivizing the retention of existing housing on residential development sites.
