In a Portland Tribune article this week, newly inaugurated Gresham Mayor Travis Stovall outlined his housing priorities for the city. HBA endorsed Mayor Stovall due to his strong support for advancing home ownership opportunities, which he recently underscored as a key stabilizing force for Gresham residents. Additionally, Mayor Stovall continued to highlight the need for a diverse inventory of housing at all income levels, and recoginze the important role that a robust construction trade sector plays in Gresham’s economic and civic spaces. The newly-elected mayor was sworn into office last week after winning the election by a mere thirteen votes. HBA looks forward to working with Mayor Stovall to advance pro-housing solutions.
