On Wednesday, September 29, HBA and Metro presented the “Let’s Build It: Incentives for Middle Housing Webinar” to over 170 interested industry members, land use planning and building staff, and elected officials. HBA, Metro, and the Build Small Coalition partnered together for yet another successful middle housing focused webinar this year, where attendees had the opportunity to learn about various incentives and tools available for building and encouraging middle housing development at a variety of price points. Following opening remarks by Tigard Mayor Jason Snider, industry and policy experts covered Senate Bill 458 (Expedited Land Division), Condominium Mapping Options, Construction Financial Products, System Development Charge Deferral, and Tax Abatement Incentives, followed by a robust Q+A panel moderated by Wilsonville Planning Director Miranda Bateschell. ?
