Metro Council will vote on the expansion of the urban growth boundary (UGB) this Thursday, December 13th. The vote comes following several hearings on the proposals over the past several months, where the proposals from four cities requesting an expansion were considered. Beaverton, Hillsboro, King City, and Wilsonville each submitted proposals detailing their expansion plans, which total 2,200 collective acres added to the UGB. Metro staff reports and COO recommendations on the proposals have been positive, and the HBA fully supports the approval of each expansion request.
