Mark Zawitoski, VP of Zonda Advisory, will provide a comprehensive overview of land acquisition and development processes critical to all new home builders. From sourcing, financial models, and entitlements to construction, many levers need to be pulled to balance risk with opportunity. Finding suitable land for residential construction and navigating jurisdictional hurdles is often harder for builders in the Pacific Northwest than in many places elsewhere in our nation. The current boom in demand for housing has exacerbated these challenges, coinciding with unprecedented housing shortages and supply chain disruptions. Discussion will conclude by exploring potential paths forward to help mitigate cost drivers and enable developers to help meet the ever rising demand for shelter today.
