Every election, the Home Builders Association (HBA) Government Affairs and PAC sits down with candidates running in key races around the region to hold an in depth conversation about the issues important to our industry and where each prospective candidate stands on those issues. This year there are several critical races on the ballot and many promising candidates. If a particular candidate is found to be a champion of our issues, the committee then votes on both an endorsement by the HBA and other potential forms of support. Moving forward, as we approach the November general election, the HBA may hold more candidate interviews as needed, so stay tuned here and to our biweekly email newsletter for updates. The HBA also encourages its members to independently support these candidates in any way they can.
