PBUD Briefed on Portland’s Residential Infill Project and Deeper Housing Affordability Incentive

On Tuesday, July 13th staff from Portland Bureaus of Development, Housing and Land Use joined HBA’s Portland Building and Urban Development (PBUD) Council to give overviews of the Residential Infill Project and Deeper Housing Affordability code language that will take effect August 1, 2021.

Attended by over 30 Portland area professionals, the meeting was a chance for members and others involved in the Portland home building industry to learn more about the specific changes and requirements of each program and the opportunities for middle housing creation. In addition, it provided a forum for staff and the industry to discuss inefficiencies and possible barriers to middle housing production by market rate builders.
