On December 1st, HBA staff Preston Korst sat on a housing policy panel at a conference hosted by the Oregon Chapter of the American Planning Association. Preston provided analysis on how the existing regulatory environment is negatively impacting the ability for builders to address the state’s housing shortage, while expressing support for the recommendations arising from the Governor’s Housing Production Advisory Council. On the panel with Preston was Damien Hall, Dunn Carney; Miranda Bateschell, City of Wilsonville; Anna Slatinsky, City of Beaverton; Preston Korst, Home Builders Association; Matt Tschabold, Housing Advisor to the Oregon Governor.
