Starting this month, Gresham’s senior planning and building staff reinstituted stakeholder gatherings to collaborate on changes to fees, policies and rules that affect new development. These stakeholder meetings offer a unique opportunity to discuss the full range of development from bare dirt through construction. Initial stakeholder topics included proposed permit and land use fee increases, ongoing residential SDC reform, and a new permitting software system. Staff is proposing a 10% increases for both permit fees and land use applications. HBA requested a delay in these increases to allow for developer feedback and for the opportunity to discuss SDC reform with the staff and council.
