HBA Discusses COVID-19 Impacts on Housing Construction

In a recent article published in the Wilsonville Spokesman, HBA reviewed some of the critical safety precautions that builders are using to minimize COVID-19 threats on construction sites an explained why keeping construction going is so critical to Oregon. With 100,000 people working in the building industry, it is absolutely imperative that we keep construction moving forward and work collaboratively with local and state governments to implement appropriate social distancing protocols on construction sites that minimizse risk. In recent weeks, both the federal and state governments have given the green light to construction, and HBA has been working feverishly with local building departments to share best practices with builders and contractors.
