HBA-members Veritas Development, Otak, and Emerio Design are poised to break ground this spring on phase one of three of a 30 acre mixed-use development at Happy Valley’s west end. First envisioned over two decades ago, the Eagle Landing project is the result of a robust master planning process that boasts a future downtown area with a central square, main street, and a mix of 1,000 housing units across multiple 5-9 story buildings. HBA’s ongoing work with state legislators to reform construction defect liability is paving the way for condominium feasibility at the site, following the phase one apartment construction. HBA will continue to advocate for construction defect legislation that is closer aligned with current best practices, with the goal of facilitating increased home ownership opportunities.
