Last month, voters again said YES to the HBA-endorsed Clackamas County Sheriff’s Levy. As the county continues to experience population growth and household formation, the levy is critical to serving both existing and future residents with resources such as additional deputy positions, increased mental health bed capacity, and the implementation of a new body camera program. Since its initial passage in 2006, county residents have subsequently voted to renew the county’s public safety levy every five years. Measure 3-566 replaces the current levy, expiring this year, with a $0.12 increase per $1,000 of assessed property value.
