The City of Tualatin is updating their development codes through a three phase project to clean-up, review policies and regulations, and prioritize suggestions from public outreach and stakeholder groups. Phase one of the project, code clean-up, is currently wrapping up. The goal is to improve the overall efficiency, internal consistency, and readability of the city’s development code. Development code updates will look at specifics of the city’s land use goals and policies, zoning and design standards. Draft findings of the project have been completed, and will be addressed at the Tualatin Planning Commission meeting on November 15th. The Planning Commission’s recommendations of the draft language will presented to the City Council on November 26th. Comment on the drafts will be accepted through the Planning Commission meeting on November 15th and the City Council hearing on the 26th.
