HBA Offers Preferred Criteria on Clackamas County Congestion Relief Projects

As a member of the Clackamas County Community Road Fund Advisory Committee, HBA recently offered pro-housing selection criteria for funding high-priority safety and congestion relief projects under the County’s Transportation System Plan list of preferred capital projects. HBA emphasized the need to coordinate road projects with ongoing and future growth areas and the value of leveraging funds from other funding resources. The Advisory Committee is tasked with recommending how to direct the new vehicle registration fee dollars that will fund projects throughout unincorporated Clackamas County. The Committee is also tasked with reviewing the project list annually and reporting progress to the Board of Commissioners. HBA believes that dollars should flow to areas experiencing growth so that the greatest number of residents can benefit from the new fee. To learn more about HBA’s involvement with Clackamas County, contact Roseann Johnson at roseannj@hbapdx.org.
